A worrying proportion of working people suffer from burnout or are at risk: 1 in 6 employees show symptoms of burnout, 1 in 5 employees are on the verge of exhaustion, and 29% of employees experience problematic stress. So there is work to be done! Early detection and prevention of stress can prevent many problems. Both on an individual level and within a team or organization, it is possible to recognize and acknowledge signs of toxic stress, discuss them, and thus engage in primary and secondary prevention.
